What We Do
At Zechariah 4:6 Ministries, we follow the Lord's leading to help others in need. We desire to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ in Canada and abroad, and to train and prepare workers for Christian service.
In our local community of Brantford, Ontario (and previously in Haliburton), we do community prayer and operate a Christmas for Kids program. We also do prison ministry, both locally and provincially.
We are certified leaders in the Overcomers Recovery Support program. The Overcomers Program has a long established history of success through weekly meetings and a 90-day recovery workbook, A Daily Choice, Overcoming Life-controlling Problems. We also provide leadership training for Overcomers Groups.
Our work has no borders! As the Lord leads, we organize and lead mission trips. In the past we have gone to Jamaica and the Dominican Republic. The work we do depends on the needs at the time, and can include prison ministry, street ministry, helping with local church initiatives, soup kitchens, recovery support groups, etc. We have been supporting two children in Jamaica, Hugh and Melissa, since they were in grade 3. Through our support, they have been able to continue in school. They are now 15 years old and recently began high school.
"This is all to His glory. The only reason I am on this earth is to serve my Lord. No person, place or thing means more to me than my Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. If He said to me today, 'Time to come home, my child,' I wouldn't hesitate one second. He hasn't said that, so while I'm waiting to go home, my Lord has me to do with whatever He wants. I praise Him in the good times and in the bad because I know He is in perfect control. I trust that whatever the Lord's will is, it will be accomplished. Whatever door he opens I will walk through, by His grace. He is the one that opens and closes the doors. I will praise Him whatever the outcome. He knows just what He is doing, and what is best for His child."
